It's like Magic!

When I took the crazy guy in room 11's vitals at 0330, he had a full urinal.

When I brought him a new urinal and a Coke at 0345, he had an empty urinal.

There was no puddle on the bed or floor.

I didn't bother giving him the Coke or the new urinal.

I did, however, get him some mouthwash.

Thank you for this blog... as a student nurse, I feel I am learning more reading here than in practice!

There's thirsty and then there's ,"I'm so thirsty I could drink my own urine". I hope I'm never that thirsty or that crazy.

ewww..

I hope it was a kinda watery urine, not the smelly yellow/brown one.

Did you check the sink?
Also, keep a close watch on any plants in the room. If they wither and die in the next week or so, you'll know where the urine went.

Aughhh! I don't wanna know what happened to the pee.
But you know that urine is sterile...initially.

Did the urinal have one of those "recycle" triangle logos on the bottom? Maybe he took it literally.

Probably had a head on it...(as I've occasionally seen on urine specimens) ...in that case I could see how someone could mistake it for something else. ewwwwwwwww!...NOT!!

I would assume that *gasp* the aid took care of it. Cause our aid rocks like that.

Crazy like a fox! Actually a health nut, he was just trying to get in his 6-8 glasses a day... Golden showers and all that.
On the other hand? Ewwwww.

Maybe a tech came in a took it, or drank it themselves.....

Hahaha.... oh wow, I'm about to start my first mental health clinical this fall - is this what I might be able to expect?

Great story, I can't wait to share this with my fellow nursing students when I go back in the fall!

Yours is one of the first nursing blogs I've found, and i've been inspired to start my own. Thanks!
