Which is more disturbing?

The 14 year old that gave birth to a baby in her school bathroom and then killed it trying to flush it down the toilet,

or

The pregnant transgendered man that used to be a woman that was on Oprah?

WTF is this world coming to?

Seriously! I saw that Oprah (only parts of it so maybe I missed something???) and when they went on to say that they had to close their business because of the media attention this has brought I had to wonder why the woman in the marriage/partnership/whatever didn't just choose to be the one who got pregnant. Then no one would even have paid any attention to/known about their situation at all. It is one of my biggest pet peeves when someone does something so outrageous/out of the norm and then complains when it brings attention to them. Like what in the world did they expect to happen?

I am fully aware that I may have missed something since I only watched parts of the show and don't know the full story, so if there is a valid reason for "him" being the pregnant one, I apologize. I am also aware that I overused "/" in my comment.

The fourteen year old killing her baby is more disturbing.

The baby born to the transgendered man will have a loving family to raise it. The 14 year old's baby wasn't even given a chance to live.

And just to fill in the blanks for the above commenter: the woman in the transgendered couple could not have the baby because she had a hysterectomy years ago due to severe endometriosis.

i don't know why it's surprising... the ruling philosophy is relativism... 'what's right for you is fine, i'll decide what's right for me, we have sacrificed discernment for 'not being judgemental' and been told not so spank our children etc...' no mystery here except why people can't see that with a relativistic outlook there can be no right or wrong.

THANK YOU!!! I love how the "guy" on Oprah wanted to change his sex but didn't go all the way with the procedure and get rid of all his female parts. Pick a gender and stick with it. (Although my personal belief is that you should stick with the one God gave you, but that's just little old-fashioned me...)

To me, the 14 year old is more disturbing. I can't help but wonder where her parents are in her life. Is she so alone that she felt it was her only option?

Dittos on 911 Doc's comment. We live in a time when the only thing it is acceptable to call sin, is being judgemental. (I expect to get pounded just for using the s word in this comment!) Our problem is not that we are too judgemental, it is that we render judgement in self serving ways, rather than "judg[ing] with righteous judgement." Oh boy. Righteous. Bet ya I get it good for that one too. Oh well. I would rather enjoy the favor of the one that I was quoting.

I didn't see the "guy" on Oprah but on dateline or 20/20 or something. As messed up as that is, it isn't hurting anyone and merely goes against what "normal" is.

Trying to flush a baby down the toilet is just plain sick. And we see more and more of this stuff on the news everyday...
Is it just the media attention on all the negative stuff or what? Most days I really feel like the universe would be better off if the earth imploded.

Oh and I definitely meant to say that the first story made me really sad. Obviously that is by far the worse choice here. The second one just sort of perplexes me.

P.S. I think monkeysister hit on what perplexed me the most about that story.

Ditto on what mike, 911,county and bree said.

Disagree with radioactive and monkey.

The reason the "real" women did not carry the baby was that she was unable to carry a baby. They were going to get a surrogate, but decided just to do it themselves.

Rosie O. is more manly than that "guy." And she doesn't even need any extra hormones.

the baby down the toilet happens more frequently than we'd like to think. They just don't always get caught.

Does anyone else think the "pregnant man" thing is a hoax? I have a hard time believing that anyone receiving enough male hormones to grow facial hair and to look like a man, would be physiologically capable of getting pregnant and supporting a healthy pregnancy. Obviously "his" female hormones have been well suppressed.

I am just completely horrified, period. At least the tranny isn't hurting anyone, as appalling as the situation is and as hard and damaging as that child's social life will be-at least they aren't flushing the baby! There are many cases of this, most go unreported and it is horrible.

Things like this make me wish for a simpler time before transgendered pregnancies, babies being treated worse than trash, ADD&ADHD, AIDS....(this list could go on for a long time!)
*ADD and ADHD-are they for real?

"ADD and ADHD-are they for real?"

Yeah, they are.
