The vast majority of the things I do on a daily basis merely require opposable thumbs. But the sarcasm..... now THAT'S a gift!
One of my favorite things to do on Sunday is read Mostly Cajun's Name Game. If you don't read it every week, you should.
A friend of mine sent me this link to an obituary in her local paper.
"Survivors include.... sister Tizzy Thorazine ....."How could you do that to your kid?

Oh. My. God.
The funeral home obituary lists the sister as "Lizzy Therese-Ann." Probably the newspaper accepted a phoned-in report and didn't check the spelling. Sorry to step on a good story.
Amen Babs! My words exactly- OH MY GOD!!
I will be back--thank you MG!!!
Makes my Assesment names make sense now!!!!!
John
his mother Angelic Moss Simpson...
Angelic? Angelic Moss? Dooooood. Who are these people?!?
By the way, I know *exactly* where that is. It's about 20 miles from where I grew up. Please don't hold such things against all us Tennesseans.
Precious is a popular name around these parts. It's also one of the few that's likely to have a standard spelling.
Heh. Platypus, I remember triaging a little girl one time whose middle name was "Precious."
First name? "Too".
