Guarantee

If you sign up for an overtime shift at the beginning of the month, and the shift isn't until the end of the month, and you don't remember that you signed up for said shift until a couple of hours before it starts, and you don't get a nap, and your plans for the night have to be cancelled......

You are guaranteed to have a shitty night.

God, I hate it when that happens. That's why I won't sign up for extra shifts anymore. I forget a lot things at my age, so why add to the stress by signing up for a shift that I'm going to forget.

Being a nurse, you have to clarify -- are we talking literally, "Code Brown" shitty, or just unpleasant?

I mean, you never know when the patient spouting the Unending Poo Geyser will show up in a post...

I found more recently, that if I sign up for xtra shifts without consulting my husband... I'm guarunteed to piss him off.

Maybe that's not such a bad thing.
