Night shift Jeopardy!

Answer: 800 mg of Motrin and two bottles of Guinness.

Question: What is MonkeyGirl's standard breakfast on mornings in which a "dear God is that bright red blood gushing out of her ass?" rectal bleed is immediately followed by 90 minute completely futile "but she was breathing when we got there" code is immediately followed by a "I didn't feel like taking my Clonidine" hypertensive crisis/pulmonary edema?

Sometimes I love my job and hate it all at the same time.

Do Guinness and BRBPR go well together?

Motrin and Guiness. Hmmm. sounds like a recipe for an upper GI bleed.

I need that recipe, how long do you let it bake? and at what temperature?

Wow. Sounds like the CrankyProf lunch after a round of remedial comp ridiculousness.

That's my standard lunch after an overnight medicine call - worst was 2 arrests (1 cardiac, 1 respiratory), 3 transfers to the ICU - doesn't sound like much now, but it was my 2nd night as an intern....

Maybe I'll commiserate and have my own 800 + 2 right now!

Do you realize the book you could get out of your job? I've been reading some of the posts, assessing your writing style/voice, and I think you could publish a very compelling memoir. Get a good legal rep who is well-versed in HIPAA regs, though.

I like to read what you write so if I ever end up in a ER I hopefully do not act like an idiot although I have stories more about ER Doctor blunders in my case.
