Note to self...

If you're in the middle of a nasty divorce, don't send your previously unknown-about girlfriend roses and then try to blame 1-800-FLOWERS when your soon to be ex-wife finds out.

"'It’s going to cost Mr. Greer at least a half a million dollars,' his attorney, Kennitra Foote, said, referring to the divorce settlement. 'Mr. Greer has suffered immeasurably. His wife doubled the amount of money she was requesting.'"
You deserve it, dumbass. Because you're retarded.

I'm kind of swayed on this one. I agree he acted stupid and should take responsibility for his actions, but... When I call and order something to be sent somewhere I don't expect anyone else to be able to call and get information about the transaction. The ex never should have been able to get a copy of the receipt or address of the GF. Unless of course he was using a joint credit card and could he really be that stupid? It said the florist sent a thank you card, did they check to see if that was his current address? Interesting, too bad it will be bumped back to page 10 and no one will be able to see what happens. Why am I up in the middle of the night thinking about this stuff anyway.

Ha, I work in a flower shop over Valentine's day. The first year I did it we had a guy who sent roses to his wife and his girl friend. Normally we don't read the card from walk-in's but I was afraid I had mixed up the cards.

Actually, marlaquack, the problem is that it was a soon-to-be ex, not an ex. If she's on the account at all, as spouse, she may have right to see the transaction that is being charged to her. As spouse, she has rights. It is easy enough to get information with the line, "oh, I'm his wife."

The question is why the note got sent to the wife's address. Was that address on the account? If it was... well, she's his wife. She has the right to find out information about transactions using her address.
